Fansipan Mountain Cable Car to Sponsor Bac Ha Horse Racing Festival

The traditional Horse racing festival held on June 4th and 5th in Bac Ha – Lao Cai has been successfully organized. Fansipan Cable car Sapa Ltd. (Fansipan Sapa company) is announced as the Gold sponsor for the 3rd time for this authentic culturally significant horse race.

The Horse race this year has attracted 54 jockeys from the villages in Bac Ha and Si Ma Cai district. Jockeys are basically farmers and the racehorses are those who carry merchandises for their living. Though the horse race is not professional but still make an unparalleled signature culture of the Northwest people . The race festival has successfully captivate the tourist’s interest in Bac Ha tourism in particular and Lao Cai in general.

Wishing to contribute to the construction and preservation of local culture, Sun Group has invested, along with Fansipan Sapa company has funded the race tournament with VND 200,000,000. This is the 3rd time the company is announced as the Gold Sponsor of the race.
